Grace’s Project (Part 3)

Once Grace has finished sorting her cell types, she will establish cDNA libraries from the RNA of each cell type in Pocillopora damicornis, to establish it as a model organism. A cDNA library is a combination of cloned complementary DNA fragments. Grace will use this to understand how the levels of genes change in response to stress. This helps to create a more comprehensible and localized data set for immunology investigations of Pocillopora.
